HOW GD WORKS

How GD Certification Safeguards Every Project

40 indicators × four stages of end-to-end review

GD Green Renovation Certification reviews the entire renovation against 40 certification indicators. Third-party verifiers and TAF-accredited laboratories carry out on-site review and testing, and a complete record — the “Green Handbook” — is delivered on completion. Across the early, middle and final phases of renovation, certification checks four stages, each with its own scope and goals.

Transparent & traceable

Digital review records reduce paper and increase transparency

  • The review process is recorded; owners can watch the video via QR code
  • Applications and review documents are fully digital
  • A Green Handbook records materials, construction and test results
  • Certificate numbers can be verified online

INSTITUTIONAL INDEPENDENCE

Independent, impartial —
bound by non-commercial boundaries

GGCb is not a commercial matching platform and does not undertake any renovation contract. Only by fully separating from commercial interest can our certification carry unshakable credibility.

Clarifying brand relationships:
  • • GGCb Global Green Certification Body: an impartial third-party certification entity.
  • • GD Green Renovation Certification: the audit program managed and executed by GGCb under public standards.
No designer matching or project dispatch

GGCb's website provides only a public authenticity check of certified green designers. No paid ranking, personal preference, or project matching.

No sale or promotion of specific building products

Material checks rely on the Ministry of the Interior Green Material Label and TAF-accredited low-emission test reports. Sole-brand endorsements or product commissions are strictly prohibited.

Focus on standards, training & verifiable results

All our energy goes to scientific standardization, transparent review workflows, designer credit auditing, and the public certified-spaces database.

RIGOROUS GOVERNANCE

Review Impartiality & Conflict-of-Interest Policy

GGCb has built comprehensive internal controls and conflict-of-interest rules, ensuring every reviewer and staff member follows the strictest professional ethics.

Mandatory conflict-of-interest disclosures

Reviewers with any third-degree relative, teacher–student, employment, investment, or advisory relationship with the design team, contractor, developer, or owner must proactively disclose and recuse themselves from that case.

Blind review & double checks

Paper-review stages (P/M) use de-identified case numbers. Post-completion on-site air testing (C stage) uploads calibrated instrument data in real time — eliminating human manipulation.

Strict penalties & certificate revocation

If a designer or vendor is found to have forged green-material evidence, failed on-site protection duties, or fabricated data, GGCb will permanently revoke the certification and disqualify the green designer per the charter.

DUE PROCESS

Appeals & Feedback Process

If an applicant disputes review findings, correction demands, or tier decisions — or if the public sees a certified project that appears out of compliance — a formal written appeal can be submitted through official channels.

We commit to acknowledging appeals within 14 business days and issuing a formal resolution within 30 business days. All rulings are made by an independent panel of external scholars and senior experts uninvolved in the original review.
